ASSOCIATE PASTOR, CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

(Full Time/Part Time Considered)

The Associate Pastor, Children’s Ministry will provide a spiritually nurturing and safe environment for families and children from infant to fifth grade, providing services throughout the week and working within a biblical and godly family structure. The candidate will build and oversee volunteer teams and will recruit, train, and raise up leaders in the Children’s program, and also be accountable and keep in compliance with the Child Safety Program of Encounter Church. Candidate will oversee & manage budgeting, curriculum planning, event planning, and other activities, and must also enjoy working with young children, parents, and volunteers of diverse backgrounds.

They should be skillful in written and verbal communication and have strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with a diverse range of personalities. Candidate must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. Computer and general office equipment skills are required. This includes proficiency with the MS Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel. Candidate must be born again and have the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. A bachelor’s degree in Christian Education with an emphasis in early childhood ministry, or related field of study, or equivalent combined experience is required. 2-3 years’ experience within a church as a Children’s Pastor is preferred.

Salary is commensurate with experience.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT OPERATIONS (Part Time)

Marilyn Hickey Ministries (MHM) is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support for our Operations Dept. Candidates for this position will assist in leadership and promote teamwork in working with both outside partners and other departments to ensure effective systems and communications to our friends and partners. Assistant must personally, professionally, and spiritually embrace the mission statement, ministry values and principles, biblical and doctrinal beliefs, and standards of Christian character set forth by Marilyn Hickey Ministries, Encounter Church and Saving Moses.

Some Essential Job Functions:

  • Prepare communications such as memos, emails, invoices, reports, etc.
  • Create reports by collecting and analyzing information, and perform quality assurance
  • Assist with accounting documentation and approvals to pay invoices
  • Periodically enter donor information and transactions into database
  • Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical

Job Requirements:

  • Prior administrative, marketing, and/or management experience
  • Excellent computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others

Schedule: Monday – Thursday 20 hrs/week. Salary $17 per hour.
