Encounter Church is proud to be a church body that is composed of many different cultures and generations of people. We have a distinct worship style that communicates our excitement and passion for sharing and spreading the love of God in our community. Our staff believes strongly in missionary work, which is why we focus not only on our local community but also on the global community. Our church strives to minister to as many people as possible while sharing the Gospel with them. We support more than 50 missionaries, including Marilyn Hickey Ministries, and Pastor Sarah Bowling’s organization, Saving Moses. To learn more about these ministries or any of the other missionaries that our church supports, please contact Encounter Church in Denver today.

Pat currently serves as the Associate Pastor of Adult Ministries. He and Sharon have two wonderful adult daughters and sons-in-law.

After she married her husband Jerry, she earned a BA in education from Portland State University. Later, she also earned her Masters of Divinity from Denver Seminary. She spent a number of years teaching in Christian schools and eventually became the director of World College.

Pastor Kate joined Encounter Church as the Children’s Pastor. She oversees the programs that minister to children from birth to 5th grade. Kate, her husband Dustin, and their two children, Liam and Olive, recently returned from England where they worked to impact churches and communities through training artists in prophetic ministry.
As children eagerly express their creativity through music, the arts, and play, Pastor Kate looks forward to teaching them to learn and experience the love of God and to develop a healthy relationship with their Lord and Savior through these and other mediums.
